About Chris Jackson

Experienced and professional sUAS pilot with 350+ recorded flight hours. 2019 graduate from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Unmanned Systems. While earning my degree with an invested and entrepreneurial spirit, I sought out my own internship with the Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department and provided enhanced situational awareness with a sUAS during multiple controlled prairie grass burns. Additionally, I gained flight planning and inspection experience by performing 160+ commercial/residential roof inspections while working for Guarantee Roofing and Fence. Furthermore, I started my own drone services business, Essential Aerial Solutions, which serves mostly aggregates/excavation clients, but offers a variety of services. Within a week after graduation, I had moved to Golden, Colorado to start my professional career with the leading remote sensing and data analytics company, Juniper Unmanned. Since then, I have gained experience flying multiple UAS platforms including multirotor, fixed wing, and VTOL aircraft, as well as operational skills with various sensors including LiDAR, bathymetric LiDAR, magnetometer, and a variety of high-resolution cameras. I have successfully operated missions in a variety of complex environments such as in the mountains above MSL and through steep canyons, over rivers and the ocean, in populated urban areas, and next to major interstates and highways. I have the knowledge and skill to complete any mission efficiently, safely and quality checked.
