I am a technical and project lead responsible for delivering Automation and SCADA projects to our clients.Projects- 61850 Substation Automation, New York State. Project lead to design, configure and commission IEC 61850 based (SEL and GE) substation automation systems for greenfield and brownfield transmission stations. The scope included implementation of NERC CIP / Cyber compliant security controls- SCADA System Upgrade, Western Canada. Consultant to review requirements and risks for various SCADA / EMS / GMS / DMS system options for a NERC compliant integrated utility. The engagement developed an operational risk and benefit analysis of several combined and split platform architectures from leading mid-size SCADA vendors. This informed the development of a roadmap that supported internal business case justifications and required regulatory applications.
