About Chris Hantman
Currently serving as College and Career Readiness Coordinator at BART Public Charter school. Before that I was Coordinator of Civic Engagement at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. I am an educator that believes firmly in a strengths-based and relational approach to guiding young people to high-impact and community building opportunities. I am an Educator with a background in student development and engagement through service and volunteerism, and a passion/background in programming around equity, substance abuse prevention and harm reduction, and healthy relationships + masculinity. I also have experience in writing and communications, diversity and equity work, and event planning.I am also, a compassionate caregiver and past human services worker with experience at multiple non-profit organizations with populations/age groups, ranging from youth to the elderly and individuals with developmental, emotional, and other special needs. I am a highly resourceful and forward-thinker with a passion for building community and striving for equity and inclusion. I enjoy working with students to overcome obstacles they are facing and to help them further their development. I\'m an excellent team player and am always looking for ways to innovate and push the group forward. I\'m always striving to put forth my best work and help the team achieve our goal.
