Network Engineer within the EMEA Network Infrastructure Services Team for Westbourne’s pharmaceutical client, Gilead Sciences. Responsible for managing and supporting the global infrastructure. • Technical Lead for WAN circuit upgrades for the EMEA region • Installation and support new site infrastructure and office relocations • Implement and assist new EMEA Data Centre project in London • Rollout Cisco 4500 series switches for EOL (End of Life) EMEA refresh project • Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support and managing IT incidents globally • Working closely with Tier 1 & 2 in resolving network and connectivity related issues • Managing network changes and ensuring implemented with minimal interruption • Technical liaison with internal teams and external third parties to manage the investigation and resolution of network issues • Responsible for configuring and troubleshooting Cisco CUCM/CUC - extension mobility, phones, voicemail and call agents for the Global Service Desk using UCCX • Implement and monitor Cisco Tandberg Video Conferencing systems • Apply rules and policy updates to Data Centre Checkpoint Firewalls • Administration and troubleshooting Aruba wireless networks • Monitoring the global network using SolarWinds, Cisco WAAS Central Manager and NetScout • Update site drawings, rack elevations and planned documentation
