About Chris Gwyn

One of my core strengths is that I am an achiever. I feel as if every day starts at zero. By the end of the day I must achieve something tangible in order to feel good about myself. Any by every-day, I mean every single day - workdays, weekends, vacations. No matter how much I feel as if I deserve a day of rest, if the day passes without some form of achievement, no matter how small, I will feel dissatisfied. I have an internal fire burning inside. It pushes me to do more, to achieve more. After each accomplishment is reached, the fire dwindles for a moment, but very soon it rekindles itself, forcing me towards my next accomplishment.I have deep sense of self-assurance. In the deepest part of me, I have faith in my strengths. I know that I am to take risks, able to meet new challenges, able to stake claims and able to deliver. I have confidence not only in my abilities, but in my judgement. When I look at the world, I know that perspective is unique and distinct. I know that no one can make decisions for me, they can guide, they can suggest, but I alone have the internal authority to form conclusions, make decisions and act. This authority and final accountability for living of my life does not intimidate me. On the contrary, it feels natural to me. This self-assurance may be quiet or loud and is solid and strong.When faced with a complex situation involving many factors, I enjoy managing all of the variables, aligning and realigning them until I am sure I have arranged them in the most productive configuration possible. In my mind there is nothing special about what I am doing. I am simply trying to figure out the best way to get things done. I cannot imagine behaving in any other way. I am an example of effective flexibility. From the mundane to the complex, I am always looking for the perfect configuration.I am focused. “Where am I headed?” I ask myself. I ask this question every day. Guided by focus, I need a clear destination. Lacking one, my life and, my work can quickly become frustrating. And so each year, each month, and even each week I set goals. These goals then serve as my compass, helping me determine priorities and make the necessary corrections to get back on course. My focus is powerful because it forces me to filter; I instinctively evaluate whether or not a particular action will help me move toward my goal. Those that don’t are ignored. In the end, my focus forces me to be efficient.
