ABOUT CHRIS GROVES
I have been a teacher, tutor and assessment associate with two decades of experience of working within a range of education settings in the UK, United Arab Emirates & New Zealand. Experienced as an examiner, moderator and assessment writer for a ranger of British AO\'s including NCFE, Edexcel & WJEC/Eduqas. I have been involved in the creation of examinations and project resources for use in UK schools as well as an examiner and moderator across engineering, DT, Graphic Design, Art & Craft qualifications.My role in the UAE involved the development of high quality examination & assessment documents for a national program introducing the new subject - Creative Design & Innovation (CDI). I recruited and led a team in the creation of assessment and support materials for CDI teachers in UAE schools across all seven Emirates. I planned and created examinations, marking rubrics, assessment schedules, training resources and assessment guidance documents. I am skilled in team management, creative teaching, resource development and educational planning. Other skills include well developed IT skills in multiple Office packages & CAD software. I am also a highly skilled craftsman in a workshop, familiar with wide ranging materials, traditional tools & processes. I have volunteered for environmental charities, museums and had work experience in other industries since my early 20\'s after attaining my degree.
