About Chris Garris

Collaborates with farmers markets in Fairfax County to issue vouchers to families in need to acquire fresh produce. Overseas a SNAP Matching access program at the Annandale Farmers Market. Partners with Fairfax County Public Schools to provide Food4Thought weekend food assistance packs for food support to students in need. Chaired the Fairfax Food Council (FFC) from 2018 to 2020; and was co-leader of the Food Provider Network (20••••15), a coordinating organization for all food pantries across Fairfax County. Recently joined the Fairfax County Inclusive Prosperity and Employment subcommittee covering prosperity, recovery, and employment. I am inspired daily by my husband, three daughters, and sons in-law. Love to travel, practice yoga, and spending time with my granddaughters.
