ABOUT CHRIS FISHER
MMPA student at the University of Toronto, aspiring CPA, and current Mining Engineer with 5+ years experience in Underground Mining. I work at the intersection of engineering and operations, ensuring plans are realistic and executable. My experience spans from heavy equipment operation to engineering design including areas such as drill & blast design, microseismic monitoring system design, and mine operational performance tracking and management. Some examples of my accomplishments include- Leading a Microseismic sensor expansion campaign from design through to implementation - Managing a group of approximately 10 independent consultants with a multi-million dollar budget - Becoming a volunteer Ontario Mine Rescue member I am excited to explore opportunities where I am able to work with high-performing, creative teams and use the knowledge and skills gained through my prior engineering experience to enhance the accounting profession and broader business field.
