ABOUT CHRIS F.
Previously employed as Group Technical Manager (Energy Efficiency) for LHC Procurement Group. Developing and writing energy efficiency frameworks, pricing schedules and lot specific questions including evaluations specifically for Public Sector Procurement. This requires me to be at the forefront of technical innovation through collaboration with industry experts and bodies and then updating through technical bulletins, masterclasses and Webinars not only LHC but the supply chain, appointed companies and clients. I am instrumental in staff upskilling and progression and as LHC are UK wide, my responsibilities take into account regional variations which allow me to assess the differences and produce regionally specific frameworks and upskilling training plans. Public Sector funding streams are a key responsibility, understanding Government,(England, Wales and Scottish) schemes and advising appointed companies as to what is available and when is essential. My remit also allows for me to work with companies to Advise on their upskilling requirements and accreditation needs to achieve PAS 2030/35/38 Certification and TrustMark accreditation. I am also responsible for embedding Social ValueQuidos accredited energy assessorMember of the Renewable Energy InstituteCorporate member of the Retrofit AcademyMember of the Offsite AlliancePrevious Employed as Carbon Academy and Green Technologies Lead for Brighton MET College Responsible for initialising and creating a Carbon Academy at Brighton MET College. Creating a curriculum plan and forecast and creating a new green tech department. Given Carte Blanch to build a viable provision using available funding through the ESFA and directly addressing the skills shortage in a tangible way. Using innovation to develop new green training courses in retrofitting and green tech that deliver the right skills for the emerging green construction sector. My responsibilities included collaboration with external companies to secure apprenticeships and upskilled learning potential. Case study, I onboarded Vaillant (one of the largest boiler, heat pump and heating systems globally) to invest 100k in a centre of excellence at the Carbon Academy where we would collaborate in training Heat Pump Engineers on a 3 year apprenticeship generating 500k in revenue.
