After successfully integrating ONRG into OEG I’ve continued to lead and evolve our High Voltage Services.As Head of High Voltage Services at OEG - Topside, and an active & operational Senior Authorised Person I’m responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of our HV projects and network services. Hybrid Based at our State of the art HV Control Centre in Edinburgh, I have the pleasure of working with a skilled in-house team to manage the full lifecycle of high voltage systems—from grid connection and commissioning to day-to-day operations.My role focuses on firstly, maintaining essential HV Authorisations at 400kV & ensuring as an Authorising Engineer my knowledge & Experience delivers. This is key to ensuring operational excellence, developing future-ready strategies, and building strong relationships with clients and partners. I collaborate across the Topside departments to set and track delivery, define KPIs, and explore new service opportunities that support our continued growth, especially in the renewables sector.I’m passionate about a culture of HV safety, ownership, and continuous improvement. I lead a dedicated team of engineers and project professionals, supporting their development and ensuring we have the capacity and capability to meet evolving client and industry needs.Key focus areas include:* HV Authorisation at 400kV - maintaining currency * Delivering HV projects to a high standard and on schedule* Driving operational efficiency and service quality* Supporting commercial performance and new revenue opportunities* Leading and mentoring a high-performing team* Partnering with business development to grow our service offering* Ensuring compliance with ISO, HSEQ, and environmental standards

An inspirational technical leader with over 25 years’ experience, I’ve led several high-performing, award-winning teams across the renewables and electrical power sectors.Following an advanced Engineering Apprenticeship with Procter & Gamble—a global multinational—I built a strong foundation in Instrumentation & Electrical Power Engineering. This grounding enabled me to lead multi-disciplined teams across a range of sectors, from Rail and DNO transmission systems to large-scale offshore wind.My journey spans hands-on engineering, strategic consultancy, and senior leadership. I’ve developed and optimised processes from project kick-off through FAT/SAT commissioning to client handover—always grounded in electrical safety and performance optimisation.Now, as Head of High Voltage Services at OEG – Topside, I lead a forward-thinking team from our state of the art HV Control Centre in Edinburgh. I’m also an active Senior Authorised Person (SAP) up to 400kV, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality HV project delivery and network services.We manage the full lifecycle of high-voltage systems from grid connection and commissioning to daily operations across private networks, DNOs, iDNOs, and renewable assets. I collaborate cross-functionally to set strategy, define KPIs, drive service innovation, and support growth in the renewables space.I’m passionate about a culture of HV safety, ownership, and continuous improvement.
