After a planned career break I am presently employed as an Activitive Living Support Assistant with Age UK in Cornwall plus as volunteer in St Austell Day Centre/Hub. Previously in March 2013 I took early retirement from the public sector (34 years in total with in excess of 22 years with Islington Council with the majority within the procurement function). While I was with Islington Council,s Strategic Procurement Team I was involved/seconded to the Corporate and Adult Social Care procurement teams as well as the Arms length Management Organisation\'s procurement function. • On site contract monitoring of a newly opened Residential Care Services for vulnerable adults.(older People)My role within in Islington Councils Adult Social Care procurement team I acted as the procurement lead officer for 18 Learning Disability Floating Support and accommodation services and the Procurement of the Mental Health Supported Accommodation Services as well as the on site contract monitoring of new Older People Residential Care Services presently run by Care UK at the Muriel Street Resource Centre.While I was with the London Borough of Camden (Social Care Services) People Procurement Hub • Carried out QAF assessments within Hostel services as well as the Multi-Agency Public Protection Agency Contract which is used by five other local authorities.
