I am a trial lawyer with first-chair trial experience in state and federal courts. I concentrate my practice on complex commercial and business litigation, with a particular focus on representing clients in the energy industry. I have substantial experience with trial, motion, and discovery practice and routinely represent plaintiffs and defendants in Texas, throughout the United States, and abroad. My cases include complex contract disputes, class actions, construction matters, environmental litigation, and health care disputes involving antitrust and unfair competition claims. I have worked with clients such as Bechtel, BNSF, Chevron, CITGO, Experian, Marathon Petroleum, Sutter Health, and Total. I have taken and defended dozens of depositions and have worked with a wide array of experts preparing cases for trial, including economists, engineers, and health care consultants.I am an Eagle Scout with an active pro bono practice and a deep commitment to the Houston community. Among my pro bono commitments, I have served as a volunteer prosecutor for the City of Houston and have assisted women and children before the immigration and family courts. I also have represented clients in civil rights actions, litigating one matter through trial and obtaining a substantial jury verdict. I serve as Immediate Past President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston and am a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. I am an active member of the Houston Bar Association, serving as an HBA Ambassador and as a member of the HBA\'s Membership and Lawyers for Literacy committees. I also serve on the Advisory Council for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA).
