I founded and own WBLQ. I took the call letters when they became available in 1996. I started 88.1, sold that station, then started 96.9 which became 96.7,(it is now 96.7 The Buzz, home of alternative rock!) And am proud to own the watt WBLQ AM Stereo 1230 and later simulcast on 250 watt translator 103.1 FM (W276DF)beginning November 2019, covering from Narragansett to Clinton, Connecticut.
