ABOUT CHRIS DEVITO
Chris is a jazz pianist born and based in the greater New York City metropolitan area. His earliest jazz influences were his grandfathers, one a jazz bassist and the other a stride pianist. Chris has performed with Greg Grispart, the Frank Grasso Quintet, the Spirit of Life Ensemble, Dr. Ali\'s Twilight Jazz Band, John Lenis, Audra Mariel, Gavin Davies, Gerry Cappuccio, Destiny Autumn, Mayuko Abe, Hilliard Green, Curtis Lundy, Ian Kenselaar, Danielle Illario, Michael Logon, Chris Berger among many others. He also conducted a series of solo piano concerts and lectures for the 125th birthday of stride pianist James P. Johnson. Chris is the founder of Blue Truffle Music, LLC, a small independent music company dedicated to the “Art of Fine Jazz” and is the treasurer of the New Brunswick Jazz Project.
