My debut nonfiction book SUCH GREAT HEIGHTS: The Complete Cultural History of the Indie Rock Explosion was a USA Today bestseller. It was named one of the best music books of 2025 by Rolling Stone and featured by The Atlantic, Anthony Fantano, 60 Songs That Explain The ’90s, Sound Opinions, Kreative Kontrol, and more. In addition to a traditional promo campaign, I designed a DIY social campaign using Twitter, Bluesky, and Instagram to distribute relevant archival videos and Substack to publish bonus content from the book. This helped me to build up my following and reach a broader cross-section of readers.
