I started with Gloucestershire at the age of 12 where I played for the age group team. At the age of 14 I graduated into the Gloucestershire academy set up, I was part of the academy for 4 years in which I started playing for the Gloucestershire 2nd XI from 2007. I signed my first professional contract in 2009 and made my list A debut in September of that year. In January 2010 i was part of the England under 19s squad that went to the ICC Under 19s World Cup in New Zealand. I was alongside players such as Ben Stoke, Jos Butler, Joe Root and fellow Gloucestershire teammate David Payne. In 2010 i made my first class debut vs Northants and went on to play a full champion season. I have now been playing for Gloucestershire for 6 seasons and am a senior member of the playing squad. My cricketing highlight so far was being part of the Gloucestershire team that won the Royal London Cup in September 2015.
