As Principal – Managing Director of the Southern California Region of Avison Young, Chris is charged with the overall operations, growth and client care for the Region. Chris is an industry veteran who served as Chief Executive Officer of the Charles Dunn Company, Senior Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield, and Executive Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle prior to joining Avison Young. Chris began his professional career as a real estate and finance lawyer representing both public and private sector clients for 11 years. He has acted as lead real estate counsel on numerous large transactions, including the development, leasing, acquisition, and financing of office, industrial, hospital and other health care facilities and was a partner with the highly regarded law firm of Sullivan Workman & Dee. Chris possesses a wide range of experience in corporate services, leasing, construction, acquisition, sales, development and finance, and has an impressive track record of closed real estate transactions valued in excess of $4.0 billion. Chris has led major projects, including build to suit transactions, master plans, and incentive negotiations for Oracle, Microsoft Corporation, Xerox Corporation, Skadden Arps, Dreamworks SKG, Latham & Watkins, Prudential Insurance Company, Mellon Bank, Pillsbury Winthrop, and Clear Channel Communications. Chris was also responsible for management of selected national and global strategic alliance clients, including Microsoft Corporation.
