About Chris Converse
Chris Converse co-chairs Foley & Lardner’s Private Equity practice. Chris has over 20 years of corporate and M&A experience and during his career has executed over 150 M&A transactions with an aggregate deal value exceeding $10 billion. Chris’ team directs mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, financings, and private offerings of debt and equity for middle-market companies throughout the United States. Chris focuses on several sectors and industries, including information technology services, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, aerospace components, product distribution, energy logistic services, and health and nutrition products. Chris is known by clients for his pragmatism and responsiveness. His financial sponsor clients include funded entities, such as Havencrest Healthcare Partners and LongWater Opportunities, family offices actively engaged in control investments, including Rosewood Private Investments and Strait Lane Capital Partners, and independent sponsors such as Clavis Capital Partners. Chris and his team have represented these and other middle-market private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. In addition to private equity, Chris serves as outside general counsel for many family-owned and privately held businesses that operate in a variety of industries, directing a client service team that advises on acquisitions, corporate governance, tax and employee benefits issues, regulatory compliance, general contract issues, intellectual property protection, and labor and employment matters.Chris often provides corporate law and M&A commentary to legal and business publications. M&A Advisor named Chris to its 40 Under 40 list of top legal professionals in mergers and acquisitions in the United States.
