ABOUT CHRIS COLLINS
Building on almost five years of legal experience, and several in the non-profit advice sector, my latest role focused on Commercial (B2B) Collections. I feel I am best used where I can use my legal expertise and research skills to manage (and hopefully, resolve) complex, high-value matters. At my latest role, as a Solicitor Apprentice (Trainee Solicitor) at STA Legal, my clients ranged from sole traders to leading global logistics specialists. Most recently, I have been involved in bulk litigation as well as preparing insolvency proceedings; my main objective always being a pragmatic approach to achieving the best outcome for my clients. I have made it a habit to work with my clients on achieving their desired outcome, or the next best possible thing if the situation requires it. Given my background in 1 to 1, client-facing, advice I specialise in cultivating long-term relationships. My broader experience also includes construction and commercial property, where I also managed my own supervised caseload with a high degree of independence. Legal research is my strongest skill and I would like to one day achieve a position as a personal support lawyer. I enjoy making new contacts and developing business, and am also a keen believer in lifting up those around you, always being excited to get involved in mentoring more junior lawyers in order to knowledge share and develop the team.
