I like to develop people and processes and work across departments in creative ways with different people ALL for the purpose of growing and making my students better students and better people-Professor for over 10 years in film with an emphasis on STORY-Executive Producer over lots and lots of student productions-Developer/Collaborator of signature school classes and showcases to show off my students and their work.

TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES-Redesigned Film Curriculum to be Story-centric by working alongside colleague to develop the 15 Beats in Screenwriting to function in all lower and upper level courses including the Sr Capstone Courses-Changed Film Program culture/values by regularly meeting and communicated with film students about beginning, middle, and end of the year campus, department, and film program information and obligations-Elevated Sr Capstone Showcase into a signature school event by working with student leadership teams with marketing, food, handouts, and overall organization and execution-Boosted the Revolution Film Festival into a signature school event by working with various school depts and expanding the student leadership team-Initiated the first ever Women in Film Award-Revamped a one hour class into a department signature class by requiring all communication students to present their portfolio in a mock interview format in front of the communication department-Coordinated collaboration with other school departments and offices for classroom lectures and mock interviews.ADMIN RESPONSIBILIITIES-Mandated and streamlined advising process by requiring small group and individual advising-Resequenced film curriculum in order for students to graduate on time, or earlier-Worked with the All In Advising Initiative to get consistent advising experience campus wide-Retooled Film Scholarship Application by rewriting the application and requiring an in person interview-Spearheaded Cocurrular socials for incoming film students to get to know returning students better-Coordinated and developed a better working relationship with different offices across the campus so that students can take full advantage of our LA Film Studies Program (LAFSC) and Career Development Office (Compass) making for a richer student experience.
