ABOUT CHRIS CERVENY
I\'m a horticulturist, builder, and lifelong student of the connection between people and plants. My work sits at the intersection of plants, soil, biology, and human health; translating decades of horticulture science into something practical, accessible, and meaningful for everyday gardeners. I believe the future of food isn\'t just in farms, it\'s in backyards. When we grow better soil, we grow better plants. and when we grow better plants, we improve the quality of the food we eat and the lives we live. That belief is what led me to co-found Just Good Soil, where we\'re rethinking how home gardeners approach soil health, nutrient density, and regenerative growing. Our goal is simple: make it easier for anyone to grow food, flowers, or medicine that actually delivers its potential. Throughout my career, I\'ve worked across the full spectrum of horticulture - floriculture, hydroponics, greenhouse production, specialty agriculture, organic farming, and emerging agtech systems. I\'ve had the privilege of learning from some of the brightest minds in our industry, and those experiences shaped how I think about both the art and science of horticulture and growing. Today, I focus on translating that knowledge into tools, products, and ideas that empower people to succeed, whether they are first-time gardeners or experienced growers looking to level up. At my core, I\'m a problem solver and builder of teams to accomplish any goal. I enjoy developing people, turning ideas into reality, and creating systems that continuously improve. If you find yourself asking \"I wonder if we could.\"- we\'ll probably get along.
