use MY data is the only UK independent movement of patients, relatives and carers focusedon the use of patient data.We act as critical friends to organisations which hold patient dataWe bring the patient voice to discussions about patient dataWe have a clear set of data-principles which we encourage others to followWe campaign and influence on a range of issues around using patient dataWe do not hold patient dataWe do not endorse specific organisationsWe do not stray outside the patient data fieldOur Membership comprises- Members - patient advocates who are either patients, relatives or carers - Associate Members – clinicians, researchers, charity workers, academics, public and commercial sector workers. They are united by an interest in sharing healthcare data to improve patient outcomes under appropriate levels of consent, security and privacy.Our Executive Group advises the Secretariat on all aspects of use MY data’s work. TheExecutive Group comprises use MY data Members and there are currently ten Members on theGroup. Members of the Executive Group have joined via an open-call system, made to allMembers.Our Secretariat supports the work of use MY data. The Secretariat comprises a Coordinator,Data Adviser and Head of Comms & Media. All of the Secretariat roles are funded ona part-time basis and these are the only funded roles within use MY data.
