About Chris Cantrell

I am a senior associate within the deal advisory & strategy - financial due diligence, at the KPMG Seattle office. I primarily work with clients operating in the TMT (technology, media, and telecom) industry.Previously I have experience as an audit associate, at KPMG and my primary clients operated within the healthcare and technology industries. I have had the opportunity to contribute and senior lead teams with 4 to 12 other audit professionals, worked on SPAC transactions, and implementation of new accounting guidance, such as ASC 606 and 842. As of January 2022, I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for Washington state.I have experience as the lead market research intern for the Spokane Small Business Development Center. I led a team of students from Gonzaga University, Washington State University, Seattle Pacific University, and Whitworth University tasked with helping start-ups and small businesses grow and gain an better understanding of their industries.I was also involved in Whitworth\'s Student Investment Group (WSIG) which manages over of the University\'s endowment fund. Within that group, I led the Technology sector. Our sector comprised of 6 to 10 students, whom discussed weekly sector news, developments, and financial opportunities to further grow the endowment. In this group, we create professional level financial and economic analyses of companies (using DCF and multiple competitor models) and develop investment theses to support our opinion on financial opportunities.
