The Trolley Museum Manager is responsible for directing all operations of the museum and trolley car restoration shop including financial and facility management, Operation of the Trolley cars, personnel, program development and marketing. Works in conjunction with the Board of Commissioners, Electric City Trolley Museum Association and Steamtown National Historic site to establish and implement initiatives to fulfill the Museum’s mission as a public, educational and historic site.

Since assuming the museum role under difficult circumstances last year, Chris has demonstrated a blend of competence and passion that’s fundamental to the task of making the museum an even better attraction and key piece of our thriving arts, history and culture communities,” Commissioner Bill Gaughan said. Prior to be appointed Manager of the Electric City Trolley Museum, Calvey formerly was program manager in the Lackawanna County Department of Arts and Culture since 2009, where he over-saw grant programs and marketing – skills that are crucial in the museum management role.Calvey also is president and funeral director for Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc, Clarks Summit.
