ABOUT CHRIS BRIDGMAN
My specialism is the construction and creation of green/living roofs, adding vegetation to new and existing rooftops for people, nature and climate action across the United Kingdom, having been the first person in Europe to achieve an Vocational Qualification in green roof installation and maintenance. I am the managing partner of Bridgman & Bridgman LLP and proud to say that our team have won 19 UK and international awards for our work - - Instagram:@livingrooftops Currently, the Chair of the Board of GRO, the Green Roof Organisation, which is the UK Trade Body for Green Roofing and Chair the Training and Education working group founder of World Green Roof Day, celebrated annually on 6th June, and now an official day of the year.#WGRD UK representative and Vice President of the European Federation of Green Roof and Wall Associations am proud to serve as a Trustee of The Parks Trust in Milton Keynes, currently Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Operational Strategy Committee. love volunteering, having enjoyed many roles since the age of 15, as well as fundraising challenges including a 4-day trek in the Arctic with huskies; wild camping and canoeing 60 miles through Scotland; and a 320-mile European bike ride in 3 days, yet one of the most personally rewarding things I like to do is litter pick (but please take your litter home!). My Mum & Dad were very proud when I was awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II, for services to the community in 2020 and an Honorary Doctor of the Open University for Exceptionally innovative and socially responsible business developments, awarded in 2025.
