About Christopher Boles
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, conducting research at Cincinnati Children\'s Hospital. My research focuses on using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and MRI to study neonatal respiratory diseases, including tracheoesophageal defects, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and tracheomalacia. By integrating CFD with medical imaging, I aim to quantify respiratory work and improve observational clinical studies for neonates with rare respiratory conditions. My research spans fluid dynamics, medical imaging, and AI-driven modeling to advance our understanding of neonatal pulmonology. I am committed to developing computational tools that enhance diagnosis and treatment strategies, with the goal of translating engineering-driven insights into clinical impact.
