I have recently relocated to Aruba to work with the Arubaanse Voetbal Bond (AVB) as a FIFA Talent Coach within the FIFA Talent Development Scheme. My role within the FIFA Member Association of the AVB encompasses several key responsibilities: • Developing & Activating the AVB Masterclass: Establishing a comprehensive pathway into professional football, centered on a holistic 360-degree ILP approach to player and personal development. • Technical Consultancy for Senior National Teams: Enhancing knowledge of modern trends and future player profiles, along with live coaching and preparation for international games. • Growth of National Academy and Player Pathway Structure: Overseeing the development of talent groups from the foundation phase to the professional phase. • Coaching National Youth Team Players: Preparing youth players for international tournaments through rigorous training and development programs. • Implementation of the AVB Netherlands Department: Setting up key roles including Heads of Men’s and Women’s Development, Coaching, Talent ID, and Communication and Media experts. • Providing Coach Education: Delivering educational programs through both CONCACAF and FIFA structures. • Developing Workshops: Creating appropriate workshops for youth and senior team national coaches to enhance their skills and knowledge. • Re-structuring Scouting and Talent Identification: Overhauling international and national scouting departments and processes for better talent identification. • Recruitment and Leadership of a Multidisciplinary Team: Leading a team that includes a coordinator, specialist coaches, a nutritionist, an S&C coach, and administrative staff. • Securing Sponsorship Deals: Obtaining sponsorships from leading companies on the island to support and expand the talent development scheme.This role aims to significantly elevate the standards of football coaching and player development within Aruba, fostering a robust framework for future success.
