Working as part of a team in a chemical plant to safely achieve defined quality standards whilst ensuring that health & Safety requirements are met including work instructions, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, housekeeping standards, and operating within the environmental permit. Responsible for the safe operation of process vessels, pumps and other process plant equipment. Following batch cards ensuring that each step is completed and all output is accurately recorded. Correctly identify and charge raw materials, discharging and packing of hazardous finished product, following procedures and using the correct PPE when required. Vessel to vessel transfers and separations carried out using nitrogen pressure and/or centrifugal pumps, setting up and monitoring atmospheric and vacuum distillations to remove unwanted materials from the batch.
