As part of our ambition to become the distributor of choice for our customers and suppliers, I am pleased to announce that Chris Barlow has been promoted to Product Development Director for Distribution. In his new role Chris will be responsible for initiating and supporting National Product Development across all divisions; Structural, Nevill Long and Industrial. This will be an evolving role, starting with the interiors market through our new look Nevill Long, then quickly moving on to the other markets. Since starting with Encon in 1996 as Business Development Director, Chris has focused mostly on the Drywall and Fire Protection markets but this has also seen him become heavily involved with structural/supply chain opportunities. In this role Chris has built an excellent relationship with our key supply partners and a widespread knowledge of the markets within which we trade. I’m certain that this experience will stand Chris in good stead in his new role.

ABOUT CHRISTOPHER BARLOW
Extensive knowledge and experience in developing new products and adapting old methods in to modern methods of construction. Working with suppliers from around the globe to introduce suitable products into the UK and assist them in establishing sales with specialist contractors. Currently involved with the offsite construction market working from design stage through to completion. Specialties: Developing concepts into actual business for increased turnover and profitability.
