Risk Manager, Sofia offshore wind farm - CAPEX, DEVEX & OPEX risk modelling, from the inception of a project risk register, through CfD bidding & internal Final Investment Decision processes, and into its Construction phase, using @Risk and ARM Desktop software - Supported project decision making in relation to the selection of contractors, and to a consideration of differing options in relation to the 1,400 MW, 100 wind turbine and HVDC technology-based project - Enhanced project budget tracking by consistently delivering robust risk registers and monthly contingency budget requirement updates to critical & fixed deadlines - Guided senior project management personnel towards effective management actions, by identifying key risks ( & opportunities) and related issues - Led the successful development and application of risk management plans & processes, and associated reporting, directing, guiding and motivating package managers and others as necessary. Gained further exposure to offshore wind farm construction and related issues - Ensured project team buy-in by instigating, developing, organising and running effective monthly work package & stakeholder group risk register review meetings & periodic risk workshops, consistently receiving positive feedback - Supported the development and tracking of change requests and variations, and helped direct the transfer of funds from contingency to planned cost budgets - Helped to direct the development and maintenance of risk registers by Tier 1 contractors - Facilitated and drove regular schedule risk assessment processes - Managed the transition of the project risk register from Excel based to SWORD’s ARM based tools, and provided Risk Express training and ongoing support to c. 80 new / existing Risk Express users - Acted as a point of contact between project team members and internal insurance specialists - Provided initial risk management support to multiple early-stage offshore wind farm extension development projects
