About Chris Backous
Transforming Health Care is within our grasp. Our pursuit of the perfect patient experience is rooted in a relentless insistence on high quality, low cost health care that delivers just what is needed, when it is needed in the right and appropriate quantity and quality. I am convinced that lean thinking methodology, especially those with a foundation in the Toyota Production System, are the means by which we will see an end to needless processes, poor quality, low patient satisfaction and sub-par morale for health care workers. People are the greatest asset we have in health care, as in many industries, and it is our job as leaders and improvers to respect these people by finding ways to help them eliminate the burden of work by eliminating waste in what they do and how they do it each day. Patients across the globe expect nothing but the best from us and we owe them the best possible outcome at the best cost possible. It is my passion to unlock the creativity that lies dormant within the minds and hearts of health care leaders and front line staff in order to achieve better, faster and more effective and affordable health care for all.
