ABOUT SOMNATH CHOUDHURY

I am a technically astute and industrious R&D based extension Professional with experience of around 18 years in the project management of Agriculture sector. I have demonstrated abilities in supporting the different experts of the team to identify the appropriate technologies for the project\'s need. I have gained experience in proposing an architecture for a climate resilient agricultural decision support system including the identification of required equipment. technology, institutional organization, monitoring & Evaluation as well as human capacity needs and strategy for capacity building for the collation and analysis of natural resources in the planning for the sustainable agricultural production. During my association as different roles, I have handled responsibilities of developing the architecture of sustainable farming / livelihoods, capacity building of team/stakeholders, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects, project planning and implementation of project as per the objective. Gifted with a creative aptitude and attention to detail, I possess a natural flair for analyzing, summarizing and presenting results for all research projects, regularly reviewing ongoing research for trends, providing insight on these findings and ensure key findings are shared with appropriate internal audiences. My basic objective is to go an extra mile for Research & Development and utilize my knowledge and experience for finding techniques and solutions for enhanced productivity. Driven by the key values of leadership, innovation and responsiveness, I always look forward to adopting and adapting to the new wave of research technology for its day-to-day application.
