I have eight years of experience in battery testing and validation, including battery abuse testing, performance benchmarking and evaluation, and teardown/forensic analysis, ranging from cell to pack levels. In addition to my technical responsibilities, I oversee lab health and safety, lab expansion, and equipment maintenance.I also have experience in developing and validating products/systems for battery thermal runaway detection and fire suppression systems for large-scale battery stationary energy storage systems.My career in the battery and energy storage field began in 2018 at the Centre for Advanced Low Carbon Propulsion Systems (C-ALPS). There, I contributed to several industry-led projects funded by Innovate UK. I gained hands-on experience with pilot-line battery production, deepening my understanding of manufacturing processes. I possess strong expertise in battery cell testing (including HPPC, impedance, resistance, and cycling), battery degradation analysis, thermal management, and internal state estimation—such as State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH)—using equivalent circuit models and Kalman Filters. Additionally, I delivered training on energy storage systems to junior engineers.
