As President of the Dayton Chapter of Parents United for Public Schools, I lead a grassroots coalition of parents, caregivers, and community allies dedicated to defending and advancing high-quality, equitable, and fully funded public education for all children—regardless of race, income, or zip code.In this role, I: • Organize and facilitate local chapter meetings, listening sessions, and advocacy trainings • Collaborate with educators, district leaders, and state-level coalitions to address funding equity, school safety, and inclusive curriculum • Mobilize Dayton-area families for policy actions, school board engagement, and public education campaigns • Amplify the voices of historically marginalized parents to shape decision-making and hold systems accountable • Build partnerships across sectors to promote transparency, access, and opportunity in public schoolsMy leadership centers on authentic relationship-building, justice-driven organizing, and a deep belief that parents are powerful change agents in public education.
