ABOUT CHLOE KRUEGER
I am currently an undergraduate student in my junior year at DePauw University, majoring in biochemistry with hopes of attending medical school. While at DePauw, I have embraced opportunities to connect with and serve the greater Greencastle community, from volunteering at the Putnam County Senior Center Thrift Store and Greencastle Middle School to supporting local residents through the Greencastle Parks Department. Community service is an integral part of my undergraduate experience and has solidified my passion for medicine as a tool for advocacy and impact. On campus, I have taken my volunteer experiences and translated them into helping my fellow peers interact with the greater DePauw community as the Community Relations officer in Civic Fellows and as the Vice President of Philanthropy in my sorority. I also help fellow pre-health students connect and gain experience and exposure as the Vice President of Programming for the Future Health Professionals club. At home, I work as a phlebotomist at Columbus Regional Hospital, gaining firsthand exposure to both patient care and clinical diagnostics.As a student-athlete on DePauw’s cross country and track & field teams, I have learned how to balance a rigorous academic and extracurricular schedule while staying diligent in my objectives.I am excited to continue my path towards a career in medicine and to engage in roles that allow me to interact with science and the people it is meant to serve.
