I am a senior journalism student at the University of Florida. I minor in business administration and pursue a combination degree in Master of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in public relations. I am passionate, eager and a quick learner who wants to tell stories that inspire others to greatness.Quick overview of my experience: 3 years experience directing and/or producing three live newscasts (First at Five, Midday, Noticias) with WUFT for Channel 5, a PBS member television station. 2 years experience of being an Account Executive for Alpha PR, UF\'s only student-run PR firm. My team manages campaigns for our client, MusicGNV. 2 years experience editing and producing podcast episodes for Grad Talk, the UF Graduate School\'s graduate student podcast. Previously, I was a published multimedia reporter for WUFT News, a PR intern at Kafka Media Group, a copywriting intern at Think Integrated and a PR intern at the City of St. Cloud in St. Cloud, FL. As part of CJCxNYC, my team pitched a campaign (pitch deck with 40 slides) for a client at BURSON in New York City.Some of my skills include- Writing VOs, VOSOTs, teases and scripts in ENPS & live boothing a 30-minute newscast- Directing with Overdrive Rundown Control Automation and manual - Developing and writing campaigns, graphics, copy for websites and more- Managing media relations and pitching successfully to multiple outlets for various clients- Producing and editing 30-45 minute podcast episodes weeklyMy experience has equipped me with the skills needed to navigate the ever-evolving field of journalism and public relations.
