Sunrise St. Pete is the City of St. Petersburg\'s initiative for its allocation of Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City of St. Petersburg will receive $159.8 million in CDBG-DR to support long-term recovery efforts from the 2023/2024 storms Idalia and Helene.• Lead citywide compliance with federal regulations under the CDBG-DR program.• Conduct risk assessments and develop tailored monitoring plans.• Perform desk reviews and on-site monitoring visits to evaluate programmatic and financial compliance.• Prepare comprehensive monitoring reports and corrective action plans.• Provide technical assistance and training to internal departments and external partners.• Develop and maintain compliance tools, templates, and training materials.• Coordinate and prepare for HUD audits and respond to audit findings.• Track regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures.• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and departmental staff to resolve compliance issues.• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with federal retention requirements.
