Key responsibilities:• Plan and deliver a donor recruitment strategy designed to grow lower and mid-giving levels, ensuring donors have an excellent experience, with opportunities and reasons to increase their giving alongside outstanding, thoughtful stewardship.• Develop a strategy which achieves yearly financial targets and retention rates.• Deliver a systematic plan to contact current non-donor ticket buyers in line with data consents, analysing and synthesising this data in collaboration with Marketing. Undertake routine evaluation and agile adaptation of future planning depending on outcomes. • Build a thorough understanding of supporter profiles, with key traits identified to facilitate accurate targeting of data segments most likely to be interested in supporting SO further.• Conduct an audit of current engagement and recruitment methods, with the aim of understanding the ROI likely across various recruitment methods e.g. post, email, phone, events, social media and targeted individual approaches.• Engage with new supporters from previous few years whilst crafting a personal experience for new donors to encourage engagement and attendance at events.• Work in collaboration with the Events Manager to ensure appropriate activities, events and other relevant donor opportunities are in place.• Ensure all donor records are kept up to date.• Implement appropriate acknowledgement for donor support.• Keep on top of charity tax laws to ensure SO is gaining maximum advantage.

Core responsibilities include- Implementing an effective strategic plan to recruit new donors for Scottish Opera, drawing on data analysis and inclusive of various channels of engagement, for example, postal and digital mailing campaigns, social media communications, events and successful stewarding of interpersonal relationships with prospective donors- Maintaining an excellent level of customer care for all new supporters, ensuring they remain engaged with Scottish Opera and therefore encouraged to renew their donation and attend events- Generating a boost in income for Scottish Opera in the form of lower and mid-level gifts as well as regular giving from individuals- Researching and identifying prospects for higher giving levels and working collaboratively with Individual Giving colleagues to establish a great basis for future giving amongst new supporters.
