About Chloe Greene
Two degrees, two majors, and two minors. By the time I complete my education I will have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minors in Biology and Pre-Nursing from Concordia University, as well as Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Concordia’s Accelerated Nursing Program. In order to achieve my goals I am trying to get a wide variety of experiences so I can get a better idea of what kind of nurse I want to become. Summer of 2023 I earned my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. That following summer I started working my first job in the healthcare field at a nursing home, before studying abroad in Australia. Upon my return I joined Beta-Care Support Solutions as Support Staff where I worked in both Independent Living Services (ILS) and Respite Care. Those programs allowed me to provide an helping hand to children and young adults with mental disabilities. Through trial and error I’ve found I enjoy working primarily with kids and now I only work for Respite Care cases. This role has helped me discover that I naturally work better with kids, which has sparked my interest in becoming pediatric nurse.To continue expanding my clinical experience, I am in the Cope Health Scholars Program where I completed a third of my hours at Mission Hospital and now I am finishing the rest at Hoag hospital. Through this program I am completing 250 hours of clinical hours in various hospital departments & I’m gaining hands-on experience alongside nurses.I am eager to continue learning, connecting, and growing in my nursing journey. Currently working 400+ hours at Hoag Hospital in the Emergency Department & Mother Baby unit, assisting with ambulation, hygiene care, nutritional support, and discharges while collaborating closely with nursing staff to promote patient comfort, safety, and quality care. Previously worked at Mission Hospital in Med-Surg, OB, and Acute Rehab units. In my free time, I shadow nurses and CNAs and observe clinical procedures to further develop my nursing skills.
