ABOUT CHLOE DANG
Hello! I am a former student at Texas A&M University as a double major in both Biochemistry and Genetics with a minor in Bioinformatics. I have experience using Pymol, JalView, NCBI BLAST, and Clustal amongst other bioinformatics resources. In addition to these qualifications, I have become well-versed in technical skills and experimental methodologies such as spectrophotometry, column chromatography (gel filtration, ion exchange) electrophoresis, performing purification of proteins, enzymes, and nucleic acids from my previous classwork. In the Panin Lab at Texas A&M, I was able to perform qualitative analysis by identifying specific phenotypes such as axonal degradation, abnormal connections, etc, and compare these results using statistical analysis. Similarly, I also assisted the graduate students in the Ramsey lab in the Department of Biology, where we studied the lysis mechanism of bacteriophages against gram-negative bacteria. As a result, I am interested in building a career path in biomedical research because of its significance and immense contribution to human health.
