About Chloe Carter
I am a sophomore at Texas Christian University majoring in Child Development and a student at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development. I’m passionate about supporting the emotional, social, and developmental needs of children, especially those navigating medical challenges or trauma. I’m currently exploring a future career as a Child Life Specialist, where I can combine my interest in developmental psychology with my desire to help children and families through challenging experiences. I have extensive experience with childcare, volunteer regularly with children’s hospitals, and am CPR certified. These hands-on experiences have deepened my commitment to creating safe, supportive environments for children to heal, grow, and thrive. I’m always looking to connect with others who are passionate about child development, family services, and pediatric care!

I volunteer with Once Upon a Room at Cook Children’s Hospital, helping transform pediatric patients’ hospital rooms into comforting, personalized spaces. Worked closely with other volunteers to create environments that foster joy, normalcy, and emotional support for children and their families during hospital stays. This experience strengthened my passion for child-centered, trauma-informed care and affirmed my interest in pediatric and Child Life–related work!
