About Chitpreet Kaur
I am an Information Systems student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), driven by a goal to bridge the gap between technology and people. I believe that effective tech solutions should not only be innovative, but also inclusive, accessible, and user-centered.As a proud Google Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) alumna, I’ve built a strong foundation in computer science while gaining exposure to real-world problem solving and collaboration. My academic journey also includes impactful research experiences, such as exploring the \"Science of Laughter\" at the University of Baltimore and contributing to philanthropic initiatives through the Johns Hopkins ORIGINS internship.Prior to UMBC, I completed my Associate’s degree at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), where I actively engaged in campus life and student leadership. I served as Vice President of the Honors Club, Student Life Ambassador, First Year Mentor, and participated in several organizations, including the Honors Scholars Program, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Multicultural Club. These experiences helped me develop strong communication, mentorship, and organizational skills alongside my academic growth.I’m passionate about using my skills to create systems and solutions that work for people—not just with technology.
