ABOUT CHITO ARELLANO

I started my career designing t-shirt graphics for apparel companies in the action sports industry (surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding). Companies like Pac Sun, Nike, Vision Street Wear and screen printing houses that carried licensed apparel were some of my clients. Being able to produce high quality design art, creatively collaborating with my peers and maintaining good work ethics helped me to connect with other companies that needed design work. Adhering to those principles also gave me the opportunity to move into the toy industry. My first break was when I was hired to be the principal toy designer for “Tech Deck Dudes”, the irreverent skateboard toy brand launched by X-Concepts. Working on the “Dudes” franchise led me into Spin Master’s Design Studio, where I helped to developed properties for entertainment with toy product tie ins that were sold into mass market retailers like Target, Toys R Us and Walmart.Between 2016 through 2023 I joined the Digital Media Department at Jakks Pacific as a Creative Director and Producer to help with creating and developing of proprietary IP\'s for entertainment.In my design career, I have also had the opportunity to work as a Character Designer, Illustrator and Consumer Product designer for Jakks Pacific, Hasbro, Dreamworks, Mattel, Amazon, Fandango, Spin Master, Sky Rocket toys and other toy and collectible companies. I love to tell people that \"I draw for a living\"!(What I actually do for my job is bit more complicated than that but it\'s just fun say.)
