Exploring birdsong complexity and cultural dialects in an avian species endemic to the Shola Sky Islands of the Western Ghats in India. Interested in examining how birdsong complexity contributes to individual fitness. Involved in 2 National Geographic funded projects:1: Ecology of Shola Sky Island birds: How do narrow habitat-specialist birds respond to novel, invasive habitats2: Testing Anthropause in soundscapes of natural and urban habitats across India\'s cities. Previously worked on creating a Passive Acoustic monitoring framework using to help in the conservation of a Critically Endangered bird in the Eastern Ghats.
