Delivered data, analytics, and AI solutions across Tier 1 global banks and Capco’s AI Lab, covering billing redress, ESG analytics, risk assessment, and AI-enabled delivery. As a Data Scientist in a Global Payments & Billing (GPS) redress programme, I built and customised data models in Alteryx to simulate internal billing systems across multiple countries, identifying billing issues and enabling accurate redress and decision-making in collaboration with SMEs and senior stakeholders.Across ESG analytics and disclosure engagements, I led and supported regulatory initiatives, managed analyst teams, assessed ESG data providers, and delivered ESG reporting for project finance, ensuring audit and regulatory compliance.Earlier, I supported Anti-Financial Crime risk assessments, contributing to client risk metrics and assessment frameworks. Most recently, as an AI Engineer in Capco’s AI Lab, I built an AI-powered PMO assistant providing natural-language insights on delivery, staffing, and status, alongside a refreshed, persona-aware web experience for leadership.

ABOUT CALVIN CHEUNG
I am an AI Engineer and Data Scientist with experience delivering AI, analytics, and data-driven solutions across financial services, ESG, and sustainability domains. I hold an MBA from Warwick Business School and have over three years of industry experience applying machine learning, analytics, and GenAI in regulated, enterprise environments. My work focuses on building practical AI solutions that translate complex data and system logic into business-ready insights. This includes developing data-intensive analytics models, designing AI-enabled workflows, and building GenAI applications that support decision-making, reporting, and delivery management. I work closely with stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are explainable, scalable, and aligned with real business needs.I began my career as a climate scientist, completing a PhD at the University of Hong Kong and a postdoctoral fellowship at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I applied statistical modelling and machine learning to climate impact analysis. This background continues to inform my approach to responsible AI, model validation, and applied analytics, particularly in ESG and sustainability contexts.I am passionate about applied GenAI, agentic workflows, and the intersection of AI, data, and business transformation.Outside of work, I enjoy experimenting with new AI tools through hackathons and open-source initiatives, and staying active through running, swimming, and rock climbing.UK-based with Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) — no visa sponsorship required.
