   IAUG Northern California’s goal is to create a thriving community where users and supporters of Avaya technologies can get to know one another, learn how our peers’ systems and enterprises operate, compare what works well and where challenges exist, and how user bases have adopted the Avaya communications portfolio. I work with a great chapter leadership team to promote IAUG\'s mission, and to host fun and informative events in the region.The main duty we volunteer chapter leaders perform is planning and promoting these regular meetings, considering logistics, educational content, and discussion topics. We try to have some fun by mixing in great food and prizes too.Before 2017, when I stepped down from the chapter president role, having been elected to the International Board of Directors, I was:* Recipient of the 2017 IAUG President’s Award* On the Membership Committee team* A member of the Avaya Engage Attendee Experience Committee* Presenter of “The Five Tools for Effective Telecom Management” at Avaya Enage, 2016* Invited to join the Avaya Engage 2017 Session Planning team* Proud to create the “Meeting After the Meeting” post-chapter-meeting networking programI was part of the founding leadership team at IAUG Northern California, which officially launched in the spring of 2014, about four years after the merging of INNUA (International Nortel Networks Users Association) and InAAU (International Association of Avaya Users). I have served as chapter president off and on a couple of times since then. We have held meetings in myriad Northern California areas, from Silicon Valley to Marin County to Sacramento and places in between. We are humbled that our members travel from all corners of California to attend our events.If you are an Avaya customer or other interested party, please message me about attending one of our meetings.
