About Chip Spadafora
Interested in Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy, Sustainability and Technical Sales roles!I am currently working as a Technical Project Engineer. I have the opportunity to manage the full life cycle of various projects in the water and wastewater sector. Typical duties include gathering quotes, negotiating contracts, handling RFIs, acquiring permits, reviewing technical specifications, and managing relationships with various stakeholders and municipalities. Most notably I am managing a $22 Million booster pump station project in Fort Lupton, CO. The project consists of drilling two lateral well stations (one on each side of the South Platte River) and drilling horizontally below the South Platte River to connect both collector wells and a large booster pump station.Previously, I worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at RK Mission Critical (RKMC). My role supported the development of Modular Bitcoin Mining Units, Tiny Homes, Data Centers, and a first of its kind Immersion Cooling Unit. During my time at RKMC, I was able to achieve Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. In my role, I helped manage BOMS, implement 5S standards, utilize root cause analysis, generate CAD models, perform audits, participate in Kaizens, create tasks lists and develop SOWs. One portion I really enjoyed was helping develop the ERP and product database alongside the programming team. My support includes input on the UX/UI, database management, work instruction/task list formatting, and various other facets of the design. My favorite product was the Immersion Cooling Unit that I led from start to finish on the production floor. It is a modular bitcoin mining unit, that relies on a dielectric solvent to cool down on computers rather than an air-cooled setup. I was able to identify a design error, research a solution, and present on the cost/time savings of the solution. Additionally, in this role I had daily communication with design engineer, procurement, and the production floor which helped me develop a greater understanding of how the different divisions function.
