During my tenure as Interim Vice Provost for Continuing Education, I was responsible for a university division that has a total annual budget of $43 million among 46 accounts. These financial accounts span a wide range of types of public funds: state appropriated appropriated receipts facilities and administrative rates auxiliaries and sales and service contracts and grants foundations gifts and endowments agency funds My career at NC State University included almost nine years’ service as Director of Continuing and Professional Education, where I was responsible for the following units: • McKimmon Conference and Training Center • Office of Professional Development • McKimmon Center Print Services • Technology Training Solutions • McKimmon Center Marketing Services • LAN and Technical Services • Upper Coastal Plain Learning Council • The NC State University / East Carolina University Collaborative • Customized Training Throughout my career, much of my job has been project-oriented and has included detailing tasks to be accomplished with due dates, resources needed, and responsible personnel. My experience also includes being a project manager for the implementation of software and new initiatives department and division-wide. I was hired at Johnston Community College to assist with strategic planning in Auxiliary Services, especially with Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center and the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium. The written plans include the following: • Establishing the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium and Other Facility Rentals as a Revenue Enterprise for Johnston Community College • Expanding Non-Credit Programs at Johnston Community College • Implementing Alternative Digital Credentials at Johnston Community College • Creating a Path for Johnston Community College to Become a Conference Destination • Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center Internship Program • Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center Strategic Plan • Implementing Maintenance Plans at Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center Much of my career has been spent as an operations administrator. This has included implementing new technologies and procedures, implementing policy changes and procedural changes accordingly, and writing and implementing standard operating procedures. I have over 20 years of supervisory experience and at least as many years serving on committees with various stakeholders.
