By leveraging his experience in leadership roles at both associations and industry organizations, Chip oversees a team of employees all working to promote NAFA as the voice for fixed annuities. He strives to educate key stakeholders about the features and benefits of fixed annuity products and the important role they play in providing guaranteed retirement income to consumers- Cultivates positive, productive relationships with members (including insurance carriers, independent marketing organizations, banks, broker-dealers and annuity professionals), vendors, key legislative officials at the state and federal levels, journalists, fellow trades, and consumers alike- Works closely with the Board of Directors and NAFA Committees to maintain positive cash flow, recruit new membership, establish ongoing educational initiatives, maintain favorable relationships with policymakers, and promote the overall value of NAFA to its members and vendor partners - Serves as guest speaker at various industry functions, conferences and tradeshows on topics such as fixed annuity benefits, legislative and regulatory issues within the industry, and annuity professional best practices
