About Chinesom Ejiasa
Chinesom is currently the CFO of Global Greengrants Fund, a $60+ million global organization focused on environmental justice. Prior to his current role, Chinesom was a member of the ETS Strategic Capital Team; the corporate venture capital arm of Educational Testing Services. Prior to ETS, he founded Sums 15 Holdings, an investment firm that invests across the entire educational value chain (e.g, K-12 operating schools and educational infrastructure, EdTech, teacher training institutes, etc.) to further democratize access to quality and relevant education. Chinesom, was Managing Director at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation within its private equity group where he managed over $900 million in capital reserved for private equity funds that hold investments in companies across four continents and over 30 countries. He is also the former Director of Investments at Africa Integras an asset management firm headquartered in New York City that invests early-risk capital for the development of infrastructure related projects within the African education industry. Chinesom was an Executive Member of the Washington Latin Public Charter School Board where he served as President and previously served as the Treasurer and Head of the Finance Committee. He also served as a Board member and Board Treasurer for Global Greengrants Fund a $60+ million non-profit focused on environmental related initiatives globally. Previously, Chinesom worked in the fixed income industry; specifically dealing with asset and mortgage backed related products. During his time at Clayton Fixed Income Services he analyzed over $3 billion in fixed income product, managed hedge fund managers and Wall Street issuer relationships and oversaw the development of twenty-five individuals. He spent a summer at Standard & Poor’s within its Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) Group where he rated Asset Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) transactions and conducted an individual research project on the variability of credit spreads within the structured finance industry. Chinesom graduated from The Colorado College where he received his bachelor of arts in economics and was a four year football varsity letter. He also holds an MBA from The Darden School of Business.
